Instrumental Transcommunication – Contact with Another Reality Potentially Open to All

The author critically examines some of the current arguments that attribute highly complex and stunning ITC results such as Direct Radio Voices (DRV), clear video images and computer texts to the mediumistic capacities of the ITC experimenter. She gives a brief survey of the history of the attempts to establish a bridge of communication between this and the next world that, according to many knowledgeable researchers, started in pre-historic times. She then looks at more recent history and the foundation of Spiritism and Spiritualism as religions, a foundation that was very much in opposition to the goals of the brilliant men of science and letters - Allan Kardec, Sir William Barrett and Frederic Myers among many others - involved in the study of survival phenomena whose aim was to study apparent spirit communications from a rigorously objective perspective in order to ascertain its truth, and thus “to free humankind from the slavery of superstition and dogma” as Allan Kardec put it.

Dr. Cardoso describes ITC as the logical, natural and latest development in the thousand years-old history of attempts to communicate between the worlds. She refutes the ‘mediumship theory’ in the context of ITC by emphasizing that the communicators themselves are the main authors of this new initiative in the contact between the worlds. Communicators purportedly from the next world have repeatedly affirmed since the middle of the 19th century that this highly sophisticated development had been researched for a long period (in terms of our time) by scientists in their world. The intention of these scientists has been to free the information they communicate to us from the hindrances and distortions of the human mind of the medium. Freeing it in this way allows them to convey it more clearly and to keep it more faithful to the reality of their world. Based upon their own communications received from other dimensions of existence, this has also been the position taken by the ITC pioneers in this world, namely Friedrich Jürgenson and Dr. Konstantin Raudive.

She will go through some of her own examples of DRV communications that substantiate what she affirms, and the choice of Carlos de Almeida’s words “it is for humble people it is to convoke love, panacea of the world, it would be beautiful, won’t it?” as the motto of her presentation. She will finish her work by explaining the purpose and the work to be developed by the recently founded ITC Journal Research Centre where seminars open to all those interested in the subject are planned to start at the beginning of next summer.
